Ideas for a Piano Group at P2PU

Background
The idea came from Alison's query about Dream Courses for the Summer.
Forum Thread: https://groups.google.com/group/p2pu-community/browse_thread/thread/6a3fdd2479819c9d

The general idea is to find a lead person to organise a Piano course with some musical notation thrown in.
We will add materials and other information to this pad in our quest to get group together.

Instruments
A number of MIDI keyboards that look interesting:

M-Audio Axiom 61:http://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOAXIOM61II about $400. It's not cheap but it's really nice
A cheaper one that also looks really nice too: http://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOKEYSTAT61
Casio CTK-3000: http://www.zzounds.com/item--CASCTK3000

Other Resources

From Ahrash in the forum: We recently bought this keyboard from Zzounds<http://www.zzounds.com/item--CASCTK3000>so we could practice
piano at home. It is a fair facsimile of a real piano in the feel (touch-sensitive, weight, etc) of the keys. Of course, with 61 keys, you can't easily hit the really high or low notes.  :)
We also use this site <http://www.gmajormusictheory.org/>a lot. Chock full of great stuff. This site <http://www.musictheory.net/> also has great
resources, including some CC licensed stuff. It seems worth mentioning that one of the most popular, perhaps even THE most popular, suite of resources
on Connexions is the music theory materials by Catherine Schmidt-Jones<http://cnx.org/content/expanded_browse_authors?letter=S&author=Cather...>
