Ideas for first interactive web app to be made for MHDB
The idea is make a cool web app (probaby using the new web audio API) for learning some concept in audio.
Hopefully it will attract others at MHDB to write their own educational apps and be part of the SoS Family
Inspiration: http://chromium.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/samples/audio/index.html
Imagine if all of these were education focused!
- Ear frequency training - interactive training / game to learn to identify frequencies between 20hz and 20khz
- step by step progress
- record metrics over time to measure improvment
- Rythym trainer - Instruct in a call and response type style to identify rythyms
- DUUUUUN DUN DUN = Half - Quarter - Quarter = Correct!
- Identification of sounds game
- What should it be? You tell me.
Kickstarting MHDB ideas
- Domain name
- NOT AVAILABLE but my fav - schoolofsound.org
- domai.nr is a great site to check for availability
- Setup basic site
- Basic info
- google group mailinglist?
- Let's choose / vote on a first interactive learning app
- Recruiting strategies

- It would be best to stay away from specific pieces of software.
- Fundamental principals
- How to use a compressor/reverb/EQ
- Clean vocal techniques: Ducking/pop filters/de-essers
- REVERB.
- learn what 808s and 909s sound like
