Hotel Options:

• Real Berlin -> http://www.michelbergerhotel.com/ - highly recommended by my friend. this will be a real slice of berlin. Between Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg.
• Safe choice -> http://www.lux-eleven.com/ - nice boutique hotel (from ~ 110 EUR / room) in Mitte
• Safe choice -> http://www.the-weinmeister.com/ - trendy boutique hotel (about the same as lux) in Mitte
• http://www.huettenpalast.de/ - three types of rooms (cabines, trailers, rooms). only rooms have individual baths. cheap and in neukoelln which is the hippest neighborhood

Neighborhoods:

• Prenzlauer Berg - Old East, beautiful big and renovated buildings, grand avenues, the iconic image of the old Berlin. A little boring. 
• Mitte - The busy cousin to Prenzlauer Berg. Not as beautiful, but more happening. 
• Neukoelln - The current cool kid on the block.
• Kreuzberg - Leftist enclave during the 80s, now a good mix of old and new

Restaurants:

• Cookies Cream - very stylish and amazing vegetarian (not what you think). This is a must visit!

Venue options:

• Wikipedia Open Haus (ask Rufus)
• Collaboratory (Philipp to speak to Max)
• Beta Haus (coworking space, soundcloud are there I think)
• Supermarkt (where P2PU did the workshop, a little off the beaten track, but cheap and nice people)
