P2PU Community Responsibilities (Staff and Community)
Alan Webb - School of Social Innovation
Bekka Kahn - Community Coordinator
- Organisation: I take care of most of the organisational admin. I've you've lost your (virtual) keys, I'm the person to speak to.
- Community: I communicate a lot of the news about P2PU to the community (with Alison) and keep an eye on our various media feeds
- Internal Management: I generally keep an eye on the day-to-day activities of the org, and fulfill as much of an HR role as can be expected in a virtual organisation
- Courses - Cultivate & Promote Courses, support organizers in design
- Users - Make sure all users get the individual support they need (outside tech support)
- Community - Showcasing events, people and projects @P2PU
Vanessa Genarelli - Learning Lead
- Curriculum-Help others create awesome learning experiences (collaborate & support school organizers, create supportive materials for challenges)
- Design - Design assessment & certification tools (UX,challenges,badges etc)
- Research - Work with researchers, write papers, grants, design documents
Additionally, I spend a relatively small amount of time on:
- Community - communicate progress and ongoing activities with the community, facilitate learning events

- Develop overall P2PU strategy and articulate it to the community and the world
- Find money, people, partners to implement the strategy
- Act as steward of the community, values & principles of P2PU
- All the things nobody else wants to do
Dirk Uys - Tech Lead
My main responsabilities are related to the technological side of p2pu, including:
- Tech - decision making on technical issues related to the web site
- Development - lead development of the p2pu web site / application
- SysAdmin - maintain quality of overall P2PU technology use, including DNS, hosting, productivity tools, server operations, etc.
- Open Source - help volunteer developers, review contributions, bug reports and patches
I also expend part of my time on:
- Community - communicate developement progress and ongoing activities with the community
- Users - provide user support, specially when admin priviledges or tech skills are needed
- Product - get involved during the planning stages in order to clarify the specification of new functionality
- Metrics - compute numbers for one-time non-automated metrics reports
