Good morning. Thank you for providing those links for me. I was impressed with the information and especially your Theory of Learning. Here at Excelsior College, we feel that what you know is more important than where or how you learned it. I feel that out philosophy closely aligns with P2P's. One of the ideas I wanted to discuss with you is how we can offer the students who take a class on line with P2P can than have the opportunity if they choose to take an Excelsior exam for college credit. We offer both lower level and upper level exams that range from 3-6 credits on an official Excelsior College Transcript. The student does not need to be enrolled in Excelsior for this opportunity. This is an option for students who take on line courses to have the option to get actual college credit for their work.
I firmly believe in what we are doing in offering affordable higher education for all and the synergy that exists with P2P University is one that could benefit so many looking for affordable higher education.
Potential Courses for a Pilot
School of Maths--might lead to exam
Do not need to be enrolled in Excelsior College to get the credit
Can transfer it to another institution of higher learning
Cost: $95 to nurses exam which is $425
"Not about how you learned it, what matters is that you know it"
Proposed learner flow would be
Learner comes to P2PU Course (potentially Calculus)
Learner completes Calculus course
Learner takes Execlsior test
Learner gets college credit
