Technical Aspects of School 
Dirk -  
On Tech level - different schools need different things

Mick  - A way of synching content between FM & p2pu? 
Dirk -  often people link out to other content

Dirk - could embed an iframe for FM chapters

Dirk - Functionality of course and challenges are similar, this may be updated to merge them to have a more unified feel. 

Mick asks how the schools work, how much it would cost to run School of Free Software for a year. 

FM - take a lead on the content, engaging with  Free Software communities, get a community going around the project
P2PU - provide platform, helping publicity, giving  feedback on structuring

Could get involved in different levels, 
a) low involvement, adding name, helping with funding & publicity 
b) higer involvement, generating content, hosting an intern for project, admin

Real Life Trainings 
as part of the School of Free Software are a bit part of the project. Aim to get feedback on materials and anchor project in Real Life

Dirk - there is a real value to face to face meet ups so this could be a good addition to P2PU

Dirk - In this month P2PU are looking at how they support schools and allow them independence . The School of Free Software could be involved in this. 

Next Steps

Oct - Mick busy doing freelance writing but 
can contact possible partners,  get a budget for 12 months together &  investigate funding
Start to engage with existing Schools to get advice and feedback. 

Nov - 
P2PU could help with planning a Front page for the School of Free Software to make it like the School of Open 
Could play this by ear as to if we have a seperate site or not, depenent on needs of FM and partners

Dec - 
Depending on funding situation...
Content adaption and creation


Jan - next bunch of courses start 
FM will aim to start a few courses ready at the same time. This could be a good start date for the School. 
P2PU - publizicing courses and School of Free Software

Communication
Developers & Community Lists are there for communication about possibilities for the School of Free Software
Jane is running School of Open and is active on community list
