- Very early stages of thinking about this idea
you said: Ali and I have been bouncing around an idea that we'd love to get your input on. There is an increasing number of projects that focus on local (face-to-face) community based learning. Is there value in trying to provide an overall platform that:
* gives each local project their own "space" and community that they take responsibility for
* aggregate information about all courses that are offered and in demand across these projects
* gather input from the local projects on what additional services might be useful to each one, and then provide them
It's not something that the current platform supports out of the box, but a lot of it could be experimented with in creative ways already, and we'd be interested in thinking about building something like this together .
[Pippa] - sorry I couldn't join - this sounds ACE and is something I'd really love to see happen. I like the idea of local learning groups (eg Public School) / libraries / hacklabs working with local P2PU "hubs" and offering their space for meetups / F2F classes and skill-shares.
