Mozilla and P2PU launch Webmaking 101
The Mozilla P2PU School of Webcraft today launches Webmaking 101 (beta), an awesome new way of getting started as a web developer on the open web. Tackle a set of developer challenges, work on real projects together with others, get help when you need it, and collect badges for your accomplishments.
Sign-up for the first batch of webmakers is open now. The first six challenges are designed for beginning webmakers, but we will be adding more challenges, including some for more advanced topics over time. And we are looking for experienced developers to get involved as mentors and challenge designers.
Become a webmaker today
Getting started as a web developer has never been easier and more fun. Tap into a set of challenges designed by Mozilla. Work on your own or with others, and get help from mentors and more experienced developers when you need it. In Webmaking 101you will set up a basic development environment, learn about the fundamental technologies that make the open web work, and build real projects for your first portfolio.

Already an experienced developer? We want you too:
We are looking for volunteer mentors, who are willing to give a leg up, a pat on the back, and an encouraging word of support when it's needed. You'll be paired up with a young and starting developer - and we expect you to spend an hour per week on email and regular check ins. Use email, skype, the phone or whatever works for you and your mentee. And in future the more experienced contributors will be able to add their own challenges to School of Webcraft.
Willing to give back to the community? Click here to start mentoring -> LINK
Note: Do we need a write-up of what is expected and how this works or coordinate via email?
