We need good metrics to do the marketing, and to know what to do with the results of the marketing once it's happened.
- A narrative about who and what P2PU is, is very important
Media Requests
Delia is approached by many journalists, wanting to know the same stuff:
- How many people take courses
- where do they come from
- how many finish
- Assessment & accreditation
- Experimentation
- Challenges and courses
- It's all basic metrics stuff, which, once this is set up, Zuzel can provide.
- The metrics that go to the board are appropriate to share with media/put on the site
- A media contact person within the organisation would be good to have
- Todo: Delia will talk to the board at the next meeting about being accessible
- Comment (Alan): The most important is NOT metrics, but stories

TASK: to create a press kit containing:
- Metrics
- Talking points
- History of the organisation
- Current staff and board
- Narrative / case studies
- Philipp's Shuttleworth videos
Todo: Bekka will create this page, will make sure that she liases with Zuzel and Arlton about when it goes live.
Presentations
- Loads of us do presentations
- It would be useful to embed these in the site
- Make a distinction between raw materials and final presentations
- Add animations
- Add these to the press pack and have them in another "presentations" section
Video
- Todo Niels: Do a video of the community (show all the amazing people involved)
Branding
- Chloe volunteers to help with branding
Media
- We need to have a central place to aggregate all the media that is collected on us - at the moment it's in a Diigo page. This has an embeddable widget which we can add to the page.
- Bekka will do this
Marketing
- At the moment, we do very little marketing for the organisation
- Once course cycles start, we will be better able to market individual courses and let people know what is coming up.
- We need a wikipedia page - if we write it, Delia has a contact who can put it up for us
- Who do we want to reach?
- Boingboing always crashes us
- Not anymore ;-)
